The Praise Team leads us in heartfelt renditions of beloved hymns and contemporary Christian music, accompanied by organ and piano. During certain seasons of the year, like Advent and Lent, we incorporate additional instruments and ensembles to add even more depth and richness to our worship experiences. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month and everyone is welcome to participate. After the service, there is often coffee hour, providing opportunities for members and visitors alike to socialize and build relationships.
Overall, our 10:00 a.m. worship service offers a chance to come together as a faith community, to grow deeper in our relationship with God, and to be inspired and challenged by relevant and thought-provoking messages.

Welcome to the Children's Programs page at McMurry United Methodist Church! We believe that instilling Christian values and teachings in children is crucial for their growth and development, and we're committed to making sure that happens in a nurturing, inviting, and safe environment.
Weekly children's church starts right after Children's time with Pastor Clayton. This is a fantastic way for kids to learn about God's love in a kid-friendly setting. They'll engage in age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and games that reinforce Biblical principles.
In addition to Children's Church, we offer several special events throughout the year, such as:
- Weekly Children's Church
(Children can join us for the start of the church service and, after Children's time with Pastor Clayton, head to Children's Church.) - Community Egg Hunt (in April) and Annual Fall Festival (in October)
- Camp Wilderness
- Grandparent's Camp
- Spring and Fall clean up with Claycomo
- Trunk or Treat
- Vacation Bible School
Families with infants and toddlers will appreciate our Nursery which is set up for their comfort with all the amenities of home. We have the service streamed to the TV Mounted on the wall in the nursery.
Overall, our goal is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels welcomed, loved, and inspired by God's word. Join us for any of our upcoming children's events, and let's continue to raise the next generation of faithful leaders!

- Choir Practice (Wednesdays 6:30 pm-7:30 pm): Sing praises to the Lord alongside other musically inclined parishioners. No audition required!
- Praise Band: Play instruments or sing in our contemporary worship band that leads the music portion of our modern worship services.

Our community comes together for a shared meal, fostering stronger connections through delightful and soul-nourishing dishes.

- Active Cursillo Community: Connect with other Christians through this lay ministry movement aimed at transforming lives and communities.

Our newest book study on the Apocrypha is in full swing in both sessions on Mondays. The morning session is from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and the evening session is from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (at church and via Zoom).
This study is an introduction to some of the books, their story, and what we can learn from them. The book that we are using is moderated by several Methodist ministers (including our own Rev. Susan Cox); so, it will offer a Methodist insight.
